Stephen Mark Morrow

Attorney Stephen M. Morrow, Sr.

Stephen M. Morrow, Sr. (Stephen), was born and raised in Arnaudville, Louisiana, attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana and graduated with his degree in Business Administration in 1975. Between 1975 and 1982 Stephen was a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative for various pharmaceutical companies. After graduation from Southern University Law School in 1985, Stephen founded the firm of Morrow Law Offices in 1989.

His practice has been devoted for over two decades to the representation of injured workers, and their families, involving worker's compensation, social security, automobile accidents, industrial accidents, and offshore injury claims.

Stephen is a member of the St. Landry Parish Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association, Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association and Association of Trial Lawyers of America. Mr. Morrow has served as Secretary/Treasurer, Vice-President, and President of the St. Landry Parish Bar Association.

Stephen is the father of four children, and is married to the Honorable Sharon M. Morrow, Worker's Compensation Administrative Law Judge.

James S.(Jim) Gates

Attorney James S. Gates

James S. (Jim) Gates, born in Shreveport, and raised in Benton, Louisiana, attended Louisiana State University, graduating with a B.S. degree in 1981. Jim then attended LSU Law Center, graduating in 1985. While in Law school, Jim won the American Jurisprudence Award for Excellence in Constitutional Law and Civil Liberties. He served as Vice-Chairman of the Moot Court Board, and clerked for the East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney's Office and in the Louisiana Legislature.

Jim began his law practice in 1985, and has since devoted his practice to litigation. His practice consists primarily of representing injured people in auto, maritime, and industrial accidents.

Jim is admitted to practice in Louisiana's State courts, the Eastern, Western and Middle Districts of Louisiana in Federal court, and before the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit. He has extensive trial and appellate experience, having tried and argued jury trials and appeals in Louisiana, Texas and Federal courts.

Jim has served the legal profession in various positions, including Chairman of the Duhe American Inn of Court, and presently as Delegate to the House of Delegates to the Louisiana State Bar Association. He is a member of the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association, (Auto Torts and Maritime Sections), and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.

Jim has served for years on the Board of Trustees of the Academy of the Sacred Heart, Grand Coteau, Louisiana, and is active in his Church, having been Chairman of the Administrative Board, Stewardship Chairman, and Finance Committee of Louisiana Memorial Methodist Church.

Jim and his wife, Cindy, are parents of two daughters, Rachel and Mollie, who are students at LSU.

John Michael Morrow, Jr.

John Michael Morrow, Jr.

John Michael Morrow, Jr., was born in Eunice, Louisiana on September 15, 1972 and graduated from Buchholz High School in Gainesville, Florida. John Michael graduated from Louisiana State University in Political Science in 1994 and graduated from Southern University Law School in 1998 [Juris Doctor]. Admitted to practice law in Louisiana in 1999.

Admitted to and member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, The Louisiana State Bar Association and the St. Landry Parish Bar Association.

John Michael clerked for the Honorable Frank McGee from 1999 to 2000. He then joined the firm of Morrow, Morrow, Ryan & Basset, and was an associate of that firm for four years.

John Michael is currently a partner of Morrow, Gates & Morrow. Primarily engaged in representing injured people in auto, marine and industrial accidents. John Michael has tried many cases in Louisiana. John Michael is admitted to practice in both State and Federal Court in Louisiana.

John Michael is married to Shelly Morrow and is the father of John Michael Morrow, III.
